The CD release party was held for “The Underground Garden”–the new 15 track album by Blake Jones & the Trike Shop on Saturday, April 24th at Audie’s Olympic/Club Fred in Fresno’s Tower District.
It was a success on many levels: a good crowd was assembled, good music was performed, a very cool new art piece was unveiled, many copies of the new CD were sold, and good food was enjoyed all evening. I think the main thing that everyone involved can be proud of is that embodiment of the Underground Garden idea. With a cooperative art piece involving more than a dozen local artists, a night of music that involved bands and performers from all over the spectrum of local styles, the good food and company, I think we were living the metaphor (which is every young boys and girls dream, yes?).
Thanks you to all who made that evening possible!
